HP Printer Not Printing Black| Try these Remedies 

 Restart the Page

As experienced in computer peripherals, a restart resolves many glitches— try and restart your printer and check if the blank printout issues go away. So open the printer remove both cartridges and unplug the power cord and cables from the printer

Wait for 10-15 minutes to plug the power cable and other cables back into the printer, now reinstall the cartridges and switch the printer on the given command for the test page.

 

Align the Printer

At times we do replace the cartridges but because of misalignment, it does not work. So you must align better and calibrate.

 

For this guide, we're using an HP printer so the steps may differ as per the printer model:

 

1.     Switch on the printer, load some paper, and Go to HP Solution Center. Select settings> print settings

 

2.     Select Printer Toolbox

 

Go to the Printer Toolbox Window select the Align printer cartridges under Device services and select Align. At the same time, keep following on-screen instructions to finish the process.

 

3.     Run the Windows Printer Troubleshooter

 

 If you see blank printouts, use the built-in troubleshooter to detect and resolve printer issues

  1. Right Click start> Settings> Update security
  2. Select troubleshoot > additional troubleshoot and select printer under the getup and running option
  3.  Now select the troubleshooter to begin

 Update the Printer Driver

In most cases not updating the printer driver cause the printer to blank pages For that, update the printer or uninstall and reinstall to get the latest version of the drivers. In addition, go to the manufacturer's official page and download the available driver updates.

 

·        Right-click on the device manager and select print queues to expand

·        Find your printer's name and freeze Update the driver

·        Search for auto-update driver software


Print in Back up Mode

Once done with all the preceding steps, try printing in BACK UP MODE. If your printer has two cartridges remove the one which is creating the issue. Now print with the remaining color cartridge.

 

Disable the Print-only Data Mode

When you see documents in "Printer preview mode", you may get a blank printout or the page contain data and nothing else. Do try these steps.


Go to the FILE > OPTIONS> ADVANCED MODE

Scroll down to Print and uncheck “Print Only Data From A Form”. Select Ok and print the document again.


Print Directly to the Computer

By default, “Spool prints documents so the program finishes faster”is selected on the computer. As a result, causes blank printouts, but check the option and choose to print directly to the computers.

 

  1. Find Control Panel > select Hardware and Sound
  2. Select Devices & Printers 
  3. Press right-click, and select Properties > Advanced tab. Now check the box next to print directly to the printer and try printing the doc again
